Cartoons aren't what they used to be. Warner Brothers cartoons such as
this classic exemplify a kind of tasteful insanity that seems absent from the airwaves today. The legendary Maurice Noble co-directed this, and if you look at the layouts, they are very dynamic. The designs are elegantly stylish and they give you a great mood. Story wise, the timeless gags build on one another until the level of absurdity skyrockets with the catapult at the end.
